ABOUT CAR CARE STEPS
Useful knowledge for everyday car care.
A small publication about understanding the job, choosing useful tools and looking after the car you already have.
Start with a real question
A first cleaning kit, a brush for a particular surface or a cloudy-looking headlight: a useful guide starts with the decision a reader needs to make. We organise our content around those decisions, then explain the relevant conditions and trade-offs.
Be clear about the evidence
Our current guides are source-based research. They use published manufacturer instructions, product information and explicitly identified retail listings. They do not claim hands-on tests, professional qualifications or measured performance that we have not established.
Keep the recommendation practical
A product can be relevant without being the answer for every reader. Our goal is to help you work out what applies to your situation, what information is still missing and which instructions to check before buying or starting a job.
Who is behind this
Kane Lee here — I run this site. I have spent the last seven years washing, cleaning and looking after my own cars, and that day-to-day background is why these guides exist and how topics get picked. The guides themselves stay source-based research: where something is my own habit rather than a tested finding, the guide says so plainly. Write to us via the [contact page](/contact/) if a guide helped, or if you spot something we got wrong.
